Noted naturalist and
landscape artist, Geroge
Lorenzo Noyes, is known
as the thoreauvian of
Maine. Noyes was
devout in his wilderness
lifestyle, living in the
mountains outside of
Norway, Maine.
Expressed in his
paintings were his
spiritual reverence for
values of living a simple
life.
Due to there being
several different
thicknesses of yarn, the
Craft Yarn Council of
America is making an
effort to promote a
industry standard for
measuring this. The
numbering will be from
1 (finest) to 6 (heaviest).
