Back when scrapbooking first started to catch on, finding supplies for creating these precious
memory books was somewhat difficult to do. Unless you lived near to a scrapbooking store,
which were few and far between, you were not going to have much luck with finding the
supplies you needed. Today, you can find scrapbooking supplies in a number of places –

Scrapbooking Stores
The number of stores that specialize in the craft of scrapbooking continues to grow on a
regular basis. Unlike in the past, you can actually find scrapbooking stores quite easily today.
In fact, many of these stores maintain odd hours, which makes it even easier to find time to
make your purchases. This is particularly true since many scrapbooking stores host
scrapbooking clubs that can last well into the wee hours of the morning. During these times,
these scrapbooking stores remain open to other customers as well.
Discount Supply Stores
If you don’t have a scrapbooking store near to you, you can also find many scrapbooking
supplies at discount supply stores. Most discount supply stores maintain a crafts section and
many will even have an entire aisle dedicated to the hobby of scrapbooking. If not, you might be
able to find supplies that can be used for scrapbooking within the school supply section. If you
use a little creativity, you can even use wrapping paper or other items and utilize them for
scrapbooking supplies.
Art Supply Stores
In the past, art supply stores may not have carried many supplies for use with scrapbooking.
With the hobby becoming so popular, however, more and more art supply stores are carrying
supplies for scrapbooking hobbyists. Even if the store does not have an aisle dedicated to
scrapbooking, you will likely be able to find plenty of items that you can use for scrapbooking if
you take the time to browse through the selections.
Looking Online
Believe it or not, you can even purchase scrapbook supplies online. While you may not be able
to touch and feel the supplies before buying them as you would if you were to purchase them in
a brick and mortar store, you do have a much wider variety of supplies to select from when you
shop online. In addition, you can shop for the supplies at any time of the day and night, though
you will have to wait patiently for those great new supplies to arrive at your door.
Since scrapbooking has become such a popular hobby, it is becoming far easier to find
supplies. Even some supermarkets carry supplies that can be used for scrapbooking.
Keep in mind that you do not have to visit stores that are specifically geared toward
“scrapbooking.” After all, the craft is about creativity and expressing your own unique sense of
style. Therefore, you can take nearly any type of arts and crafts material and use it in one way or
another for your next great scrapbook design.
