If you have an old sock without any holes in the toe, you can make an easy catnip mouse.  All
you'll need is a sock, eyes and ears cut out of felt, and about a quarter-cup of dried catnip.
(You can find dried catnip at any petstore.)
Easy Catnip Mouse
Pour a quarter-cup of dried catnip into the toe of the sock and tie a tight knot in the sock just
above the catnip.  Leave the rest of the sock loose; this is the mouse's tail.

Using a strong, non toxic glue, attach the eyes and ears to the 'body' of the mouse.  Although it
might be tempting to use the little google-eyes you can find at craft stores, it isn't a good idea.
If the eye comes off, your cat might swallow it.  Felt is much safter, and there's less chance it
will fall off.
If you like, you can tie a string around the 'mouse' just above the knot.  This gives you something
to hold onto when you're jerking the mouse across the floor.

This catnip mouse is easy and fun, a great project for cat-loving kids to make.  Just be sure to
use a non-toxic glue.  It's safer for the kids AND the cats!
